Around Lake Annecy with children

Surrounded by mountains, Lake Annecy is only 447m above sea level and therefore perfectly suitable with a baby or young children.

The perfect destination for a family vacation

You might think you’re heading for higher ground if you choose Lake Annecy: in the photos, you can see that it’s surrounded by mountains!

But the good news is that the lake is only 447m above sea level, which means:

  • There are no reasons not to bring an infant with you.
  • The water in the lake is warm enough for swimming in summer (22°-24°).
  • That there are easy walks around the lake with young children (and even with a toddler if you have a baby carrier).
  • Some tours/activities are suitable for pushchairs.
  • Europe’s purest lake will enchant you on your family holiday
