Protecting nature at the campsite
Eco-responsible camping and sustainable development at Lake Annecy
For a holiday close to nature, through our eco-responsible commitments and by taking an active part in preserving the environment and sustainable development, we urge our holidaymakers to discover and work towards preserving the animal and plant species of the Alps.
Committed to responsible and sustainable tourism
Protecting nature and biodiversity
By becoming the first campsite on Lake Annecy, we have made species conservation one of our key objectives.
These commitments mean that at the campsite you will find insects with which we live in harmony.
FIRST BIRD SANCTUARY CAMPSITE AT LAKE ANNECY
- Bird boxes, bat shelters and insect hotels are spread throughout the campsite, as well as areas dedicated to nesting and maintaining the natural habitat of local species.
- We carefully select the species of trees, plants and flowers for our plantations: hardy, locally grown, flowering and fruited species to naturally feed the animals living among us throughout the year (birds, squirrels, salamanders, hedgehogs, frogs, pollinating insects, etc.).
- No chemicals: we have signed the Zero Phyto charter to create a healthy environment, protecting not only the animals but also your health and that of our team. For your safety, only wasp nests are removed. For your safety, only wasp nests are removed.
- Being a Refuge LPO also means wanting to share around nature and offering an educational project: workshops for children in our garden and accompanied nature outings will allow you to discover our environment in a fun and friendly way
